Simply put, performance in Healthcare is not where it needs to be. What should be stressed though is that the failings of performance in Healthcare are no comment on the people, rather the methods of change currently in use. People in Healthcare, like other industries, are smart, hard working and creative – but unlike most other industries, healthcare professionals are laboring under change management systems that are ill defined and antiquated.

Historically, these issues seemed insurmountable in using traditional approaches. However, these are reasonably straightforward goals in a Lean and Lean Sigma deployments, provided the right tools are used for the right issues.
