Training and workshops play important roles in the commencement of a deployment, but outside of these sessions there is a significant amount of work to be done to structure the deployment, create the communication messages, set up the project identification mechanisms and launch the Steering Committee.
To support these, SBTI’s experienced deployment professionals can provide direct support in the form of consulting and Executive mentoring to ensure that the key deployment elements are structured correctly and are fully functional, for example:
Steering Committee: The Steering Committee plays a vital role overseeing the deployment and ensuring that all the necessary infrastructure elements are in place. SBTI can help set up the committee, prepare and chair the initial meetings and smoothly transition to the Client to ensure a strong deployment start.
Deployment & Organization Planning: An SBTI deployment professional can guide the Steering Committee in identifying the critical deployment actions and creating a robust Action Plan and Program Timeline, followed up with the execution support necessary to ensure the work gets done. Focus is placed on key areas introduced through SBTI’s Executive, Champion, HR and Finance Workshops.
Refine Charters: Clients often struggle in the early stages to correctly select, scope and define projects and rely heavily on SBTI’s Consultant breadth and depth of experience to ensure all projects selected are suitable, feasible and will provide the desired return.
Communication Planning: The Steering Committee needs to ensure clear communication of intent, progress and success. An ongoing communication plan outlines who needs to know what, when and in what form.
